When I used to listen to bootleg albums I would be as excited to hear Moz’s in between song witticisms, as I would be to hear the songs.
These days when I’m watching a live clip, I cringe when I see him walking towards the mic before a song. Sad, sad times.
Such a shame, musically and even vocal melody wise, it sounds great. But the lyrics are just so bad, it’s actually difficult to listen to. As for the video on the back drop 😬
From what we know form Moz’s school experience, independent thinking, creativity etc wasn’t encouraged or even allowed at times. “Another brick in the wall” and all that.
To be honest I very rarely listen to it as a whole album but the versions of ‘Jack the Ripper’ and ‘Seasick, yet still docked’ are the best live versions I’ve ever heard. His voice is incredible, especially on Seasick.
I don’t even feel excited about this. How long ago was it that we first heard that ‘Bonfire’ had been recorded? 3 years ago now? All this is irrelevant until he either decides to self-release or finds a label that he can get along with long enough to actually release an album.
You know when your Niece or Nephew make you a birthday card. Obviously design/quality wise, it’s the worst card you receive, but it means more to you than the rest because they made it themselves, wrote their own message inside etc. I usually keep those cards and throw the others away.
I think...
Nice idea but we all now the album would be leaked instantly. So if the idea behind it is too encourage more people to buy tickets, it’s not going to work.
