The Times: "Johnny Marr: How could Meryl Streep agree to be in Mamma Mia?" (March 19, 2024)

Wow, then color ,me surprised if Johnny is filling up 10K arenas based off his solo material.

The Times: "Johnny Marr: How could Meryl Streep agree to be in Mamma Mia?" (March 19, 2024)

Do you think people are going to hear his new stuff or because they are going to hear 2-3 Smiths tracks and then virtue signal to their co-workers that they went and saw Johnny Marr on on the weekend? (I doubt most of them could name many, if any, of his solo tracks.) I know this type of...

The Times: "Johnny Marr: How could Meryl Streep agree to be in Mamma Mia?" (March 19, 2024)

Yeah yeah, nicer and all, since he left The Smiths he hasn't come CLOSE to replicating that level of work. Facts.

The Times: "Johnny Marr: How could Meryl Streep agree to be in Mamma Mia?" (March 19, 2024)

If that was the case you'd think he's have the good taste to at least put on the best of The Smiths. :ROFLMAO:

Morrissey Central "RENAISSANCE MONTURA HOTEL LOBBY AT LAX (Los Angeles)" (March 18, 2024)

Where did it go? For the first decade and a half his solo career it was impeccable.

Morrissey Central "SAY IT LOUD, SAY IT LOUD MALADJUSTED AND PROUD" (March 17, 2024)

Yeah but he didn't write Frank. He wrote Edges though and I think he's always been pretty firm that it is his favourite song HE has written with M.

    It’s not about politics

So none of this is Morrissey's fault because, although very bright and one of the original free thinkers, he got scammed by evil people around him? Just checking, that's what we're running with?

    It’s not about politics

Wow, Morrissey must not be very bright then.

    It’s not about politics

And Morrissey was incapable of thinking for himself? He became brainwashed?

    It’s not about politics

So your argument is that Morrissey believes whatever his relatives say about politics without putting any thought into it himself?

    It’s not about politics

It's what they've always wanted, especially with the Black vote starting to drift from the party.

Morrissey Central "ANOTHER WORLD." (March 5, 2024)

Actually you're correct, the cadence of the sentence before all else!

    It’s not about politics

Yeah it used to be a great country but has been steadily going downhill for awhile. The last far-left govt led by the odious Jacinda Ardern poured gasoline on the fire. So hated is she in NZ it's actually not safe for her to live here anymore, not that she wants to, she has bigger fish to fry...

    It’s not about politics

They actually are. NZ (now renamed 'Aotearoa' by far-left radicals) is going down tis horrible horrible DEI/Identity Politics route and it's tearing our country in two.

What's *the most* Morrissey lyric, in your view?

I’d had Hatful of Hollow for a couple of weeks, purchased on the recommendation of an older friend of mine. The music and vocals hadn’t quite clicked but then after a couple of listens of this song, the particular lyric you’ve just quoted caught me, and locked me in. For life.
