The Citizen Smiths @ The Castle, London on Thurs 25 Nov 2010

After a trip up to the venue last night, I noticed there are plenty of bus routes that go near the venue (beyond the two mentioned above). Here's a TfL link: http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/gettingaround/maps/buses/pdf/childshill-13445.pdf From Golders Green, it's only a 2 min bus journey...

How often do you play your instrument?

After reading the tags on this thread, I'm not sure how I should answer this ;) I try and play guitar every day, even if it's for 10-15 mins. If I'm planning on practising for an hour or so, I normally play my bass for 10 mins to warm my hands up - I don't know why, but I find that playing...

What instrument do you play, and how did you get started?

I play guitar. I started after hearing my older brother playing the riff to 'Layla' (although I never heard him play the rest of the song...).

Stuck in an elevator with a member from the smiths

Johnny - but he'd have to have his guitar with him so he could show me how to play his stuff.

    What are your favorite guitarists?

How did I miss out Joey Santiago on my list?! He's my kind of player - what he plays always adds to the song and he's proof that you don't need to belt out 100 notes a second to be an influential player. And I'd also like to add Jeff Buckley to my list.

Is Morrissey still the role model he once was to you?

Morrissey has developped as an artist, and I agree with the earlier comment that he sings (and should sing) about his life - the fact that people find something about themselves in his work and connect to it is a by-product (as with any artist). This is why Morrissey is so well-respected. There...

    Songs Morrissey should cover

I've been thinking about this for days! How about 'Ever Fallen In Love' by The Buzzcocks?

    The Jeremy Kyle Show

So have the people posting on this thread managed to get through an entire show without turning off/switching over? I managed to watch about 5 mins of a show a few weeks ago - I still want those 5 mins back :lbf:

Agreed - I'm afraid I switched this vid off after about 10 seconds and watched a proper live Smiths vid on Youtube.

Suede to release comprehensive “Best of” compilation

Suede and Dog Man Star are both incredible. Suede is my personal fav. Coming Up is a great album, but suffers slightly because of being after two of the greatest albums ever. As for later tracks, Can't Get Enough and Obsessions stand out for me. I was lucky enough to see Suede in Paris about...

    Mozipedia - your thoughts?

It was an extravagant purchase for me. I've read a few Smiths/Moz books in the past that weren't that great, but I know anything with Simon Goddard's name on it is worth every penny.
