Thoughts from last night
After the cancellation earlier in the week was not sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised
Morrissey's voice seems to get better with age and he really seemed to enjoy the gig
Best part of 100minutes played so no gripes about that
Arena wasn't full but more...
Re: March 2015 Uncut Magazine - Meat Is Murder 30 Year Anniversary
My brother is subscriber and already has his copy.
Read it this afternoon and nothing new in there.
It's a good trip down memory lane but not learnt anything new.
There is recollection of Andy Rourke of Moz getting hit in...
I posted this in December 2006 after the Nottingham show under title " Morrissey can't seem to win"
Hope to get another great show there in March 2014
Really enjoyed last night. Thought his singing was really good and the sound quality too.
Can't really understand all the moaning on here...
This ia a quality historical document. It has Morrissey's input all over it and looks almost quaint 31 years on.
It was referenced by David Jensen in a 1983 interview with Morrissey when he asked about the "pelvis and soul " comment and how The Smiths managed to achieve it . Moz's answer...
I have never read such a load of ill informed crap in my life as this so called article
Have to express my surprise however that this has made it as news on the main page of the site
Sorry if I've misunderstood your last paragraph but Strangeways wasn't released by EMI but by Rough Trade
Moz said he was contracted to EMI and they wanted contract fulfilled
To use Rafa Benitez style approach
Fact Morrissey is obsessed with chart positions and will be gutted he didn't get to Number One. His post on TTY last week saying where CD was avaiable in UK showed this
Fact Not sure what first week sales were but you can guarantee that it's his...
That would help explain why it seems that only HMV are getting the 10" vinyl
How many will buy it at the supermarkets I don't know
Ordered mine from Amazon so not sure if that will count
Re Ed Sheeran whether you like him or not he plays the "game "
He's been omnipresent on BBC MTV etc helping...
From todays Metro - copy of part of interview with Joey Barton ( QPR midfielder with "chequered " past). Looks like he is still mates with Moz
Joey Barton on England’s World Cup chances, Morrissey and his Question Time showdown with Piers Morgan - Metro
Excerpt:
If all this agreeableness is...
Knew this would put smile on my face at lunchtime
Morrissey solo bingo
"The set list is poor when he's got so much to choose from"
"This could be his last tour"
"The new songs aren't very good"
My impression is a lot of people on here want him to fail etc
Not had chance to listen to any...
The issues you have raised have nothing to do with the original thread
The majority of other posters seem to be saying thank you to the Comtesse for all the work he has done on the Arcane site
You seem to be of the opinion that he's taking it down because he's read Autobiography and doesn't...
Whilst obviously wary of translation issues etc one thing that does not surprise me from this is the fact that Morrissey is in effect uninsurable
Working in the industry I have wondered as to wheher it was possible for Moz to get insurance to cover cancellation etc given his history of...
I can't recall seeing any mention of a concert in Glasgow that early in the bands career in the number of books that cover the bands history
I'd be tempted to believe Johnny but the journalists claims would seem spurious
Wonder if any more will follow on this??
Margaret Thatcher dead
Subject of the Viva Hate song " Margaret on the Guillotine" has died today
British Prime Minister from 1979 until 1990 (?)
Morrissey also infamously wished her demise in the Brighton bombing of 1984
Wonder if we'll get comment on True to You?
As posted on Twitter by Maura
This would seem to be from December 1983 and looks the real deal to me
