Record Store Day 2024: "Interlude" limited edition gold vinyl released today (April 20, 2024)

Bought a few Moz RSD releases over the years but I'm quite happy to skip this one. I have the original 12" in excellent condition and that will do for me. I'd rather see someone who has never owned a copy pick one up. If I hit the records shops this year it would have been for The Gentle Waves...

Morrissey Central "A RUSH AND A PUSH AND THE MUSIC IS OURS" (April 19, 2024)

Step 1 but a very important step.

Poll When do you think we will hear news about BOT or WMTWD? Or both?

I honestly wouldn't hold my breath in either of these being released. Morrissey needs to pay money to Capitol to get BOT back. That in itself is a monumental ask for someone as frugal as Morrissey.

Morrissey Central "FRIDAY 26 JULY" (April 13, 2024)

Great news. I'm excited for this. Only ever had it on cassette before. I like the cover as well.

The Smiths & Morrissey Rarities / FB Group: Recent photo of "Have-A-Go Merchant" promo cover star

There have been some great bands associated with Skinhead culture. Cock Sparrer, The 4 Skins, The Last Resort and The Business. Moz certainly a fan of the latter. Current bands like Bishops Green as well.

Great photo and to this day I love a Ben Sherman shirt. Looks good, well done Sir.

Record Collector: Jim Reid (The Jesus And Mary Chain) on The Smiths debut album

Can't really talk about great Scottish bands and not include Teenage Fanclub. Lloyd Cole was in fact English although the Commotions are Scottish. I'd also include BMX Bandits and The Vaselines in any list and possibly Strawberry Switchblade.

Personally I'd have the JAMC in the Top 3 Scottish bands of all time which is high praise. I don't dislike people for not liking the same bands as me. I honestly don't care.

The Guardian: Neil Morrissey on Morrissey - "Poor bloke" (March 14, 2024)

God The Guardian is a 1 trick pony with no tricks left. I don't think Bob The Builder has had any Number 1 albums.

Irish Examiner: Culture That Made Me, with Broadcaster Tony O' Donoghue (March 4 2024)

Good to see he got his little disclaimer in at the end there.

Morrissey Central "ANOTHER WORLD." (March 5, 2024)

What a beautiful looking band. Top 3 Moz single of all time for me.

    Next UK Moz tour?

The last thing Morrissey should be doing at the moment is announcing new tour dates in any shape or form. He should prioritise his health, his relationship with his new management and the release of BOT. Those tour cancellations over the last year or so have created so much negative publicity.

    Strange/unexpected Moz references?

Their articles are usually poor. Especially this part :- 'Despite the disagreements, Marr and Morrissey embarked on successful solo careers, especially Marr'........
