  • OHHH no it's sooo slow. I'm a little worried about this track. I grew quite fond of the live version, but then again I felt almost the same about FOTGTD when I first heard the studio clip. Either way I'll just have to cross my fingers and judge for myself in 5 days.

  • Is he touring Latin America at all this time? Or did he just do it that one time to earn a few bucks in between albums? Don't just sing about us, sing TO us!

  • Another great song gone to wait by the hands of jerry finn. mexico sounds really great when it's played live but the studio version is too slow and dull.

True friends stab you in the front.
  • Possibly my 2 favorite songs from the tour season have been transformed into Neil Diamond songs. The only new song plaed live that improved from tour to recording was IBEH.

How did Finn get Morrissey to go along in this direction these couple of songs? Did Morrissey, in attempt to become relevant again, forget that the producer works for the ARTIST, and not the other way around?

  • That's my impression on this one minute preview. We are already used to the live version but we should give it a chance. I don't think Morrissey would accept something he doesn't like. And it's pretty close from all the other b-sides from You are the quarry singles. B-sides which ring richer and with more variety than the album tracks. One of my dream would be a b-sides concert by El Moz. Hopefully in Paris soon, dear Moz.

  • OMG!! The clip is horrible. I bet they lost the sheet music and the re-did the whole thing. They could've asked for a B+P.

Seriously, what happened to the thunderous guitars? It turned out a pop ballad!!

I'm hating this Finn guy more by the day.

What i hate more is this Spaniards that come by this forum are going to be quite happy with how bad the song turned out.

    Viva México kbrones.

  • The song was shit, regardless. Some of the most embarrassing, and pandering lyrics of Morrissey's career.

Nice vocal melody, with a paint by numbers sound. I don't see how anyone could call this one of their favorites while singing along with the lines, "If you're rich and your white, you think you're so right."

This, coming from a man who made millions off reminding white teens, and himself that everything isn't okay. I guess, in comparison, we really have nothing to complain about afterall.

The people that left Mexico to come here, left for a reason. Many have found a much higher standard of living even at the bottom, and this generation of Mexican-Americans is one of the most successful.

To romanticize the issue is to be shallow about it. He's just drawn up a song that he thinks would appeal to some unfounded bitterness, by assuking the worst. Fortunately, it doesn't work that way, and the songs message is simplistic, trite, and predictable, just like many of his political views.

    Disagree? Of course you do.
