They did do portraits of an Etienne, but a wholly different one ( ) The 1984 portrait is iconic, as it was a record sleeve.
It's on the net if you wish to compare and don't already know what it looks like.

I think Moz-hatred is more to do with age. For some people, years go by and they keep expecting the idol of their worship to continue performing miracles for them, (providing the same dopamine hits, those youthful swooning ecstasies) and when he doesn't love veers towards its dark side. The excuse of Moz saying bad things doesn't stand up because he's always said supposedly bad things and been forgiven every time. Some people simply get disillusioned (grumpy) as they get older and take it out on the people closest, the ones they love... in Skinny's case Morrissey.

He's always said 'bad' or controversial things but these have been things that only reinforced his image and persona - the very image and persona that people were drawn to in the first place. He hated the royals, Thatcher, McDonals, the meat industry, right wing views etc.. Brilliant - we all did likewise.
But now he's saying 'bad' things that totally contradict what he once stood for. He loves Farage, Johnny Robinson, Annie Walters (who unbelievably reminds him of Thatcher).
He once even sang 'there are some bad people on the right'. Presumably, he would now sing 'there are some pretty great people on the right'.
His fan base in the UK hemorrhaged last year (based on sales for a mini tour). Tiny venues that would always easily have sold out had sold only a handful of tickets. The situation may have changed now - the UK fanbase may have forgotten about the stupid stuff and moved on, but I'm not convinced. We'll see if/when he announces a UK tour.

Agree but my main point was this image is meant to be stylised and manipulated so a straight shot of M wouldn't make sense in this context.
Something,skinny doesn't appear to get. Or he does and it's just another cheap shot.

I am not a Moz disciple or a Moz hater,just appreciative of his work as a great artist.
Even when i was a regular poster here years ago,skinny annoyed the f*** out of me with his fanboy stuff.

1. The words to Interesting Drug are 'There are some bad people on the rise'. This is written on the toilet wall in the video as 'right' (for reasons I've never understood), but these are not the song lyrics.
2. He was never left-wing, just anti-establishment. People just assumed, because he emerged in the era of Thatcher and opposed her, that he must be on the left like them. He is anti-everybody who has any sort of power, with no affiliation to left or right, except to support those who share his views on his pet subjects. This explains why his politics have tacked wildly from Bernie Sanders to Anne Marie Waters to Jeremy Corbyn to Nigel Farage with no apparent logic whatsoever.
