I look forward to seeing this. Like @GirlAfraidWillNeverLearn said, harmless lightweight fun. And with the best possible soundtrack at that! Does it have a release date?
Excellent! Thank you kindly!26 March, according to official channels and iTunes US.

No Twisted Sister-song then? How unfortunateThink I already posted this in some other thread, but the official Smiths Spotify account has a playlist with all 20 songs that are in the film

That would be cool. Great tune.Well, the tweet quoted by FWD in post #140 says that Bark At The Moon is in it, so never say never?
The trailer is cringe. Let’s hope the film is better. Though to be honest, I
probably will pass on this kind of film.
Anyway, I have a sneaking suspicion that this was not how it really went down.
And in spite of the haters and those that don’t understand Morrissey, as long as there are humans on this planet to be touched, Morrissey’s art will be doing the touching, long after we’re all dead.
Viva Moz !!!

The tension gathers pace....Joe Manganiello proud of The Smiths 'coup' for new film.
"The True Blood hunk took on double duty as star and co-producer - alongside brother Nick - of new film Shoplifters of the World Unite, in which he plays real-life DJ Full Metal Mickey, who is taken hostage at a radio station and forced to play the British band's music non-stop.
"We have 20 Smiths songs, most of which have never been used in film or TV - which is a coup," Joe raved on Live with Kelly and Ryan.
And he's stoked that he and his brother managed to secure the rights for the songs, including the title track, for director Stephen Kijak's movie, based on a 1990s Details magazine article.
"Stephen had some inroads to (former The Smiths frontman) Morrissey's camp, so he went that way and then we had to go and pitch (guitarist) Johnny Marr's camp and send them the script. Johnny and Morrissey had to agree and they did, and then we got the music," he shared."
