New Morrissey song - I Thought You Were Dead (discuss and listen to it here)

A great song...how it wasnt deemed good enough to make the LIHS deluxe never mind the initial album release beggers belief...a missed oppurtunity to get positive publicity by releasing this as a RSD A side exclusive...instead of a side note in the general music press..but i guess thats why hes just such a great artist to give us these nuggets now and then....i mean Blue Dreamers Eyes...a lost studio track???

Morrissey - I Thought You Were Dead

Now I grow and unfold
there are many sides to the soul
And not just one
I thought you was dead

Content
With my own thoughts
In my own head
That's because I thought you was dead

And it was so nice
So nice
It's all been, it's all been
So nice
It's been so

Happy now
Open wide
Everything in its place and time
Now it's mine
I hoped you was dead

Genial
To the last
Leave the past in the past
This means you
I thought you was dead

And it was so nice "Oh so or not so
So nice One me and one you
It's all been, it's all been Sea breeze and sky blue
So nice, nice Very(?) so or isn't so"
It's been
It's all been so nice, it's all been so...

Moz spoken word VOICE over while chorus above:
"Oh so or not so
One me and One you
Sea breeze and sky blue
very(?) so or isn't so"

Freedom now
Never gloom
Happiness all afternoon
Can't you get this in your thick head?

It's all gone
Peace won
Five words spurred me on
I thought you was dead

And it was so nice
So nice
It's all been so nice
It was so nice, so nice
So...

Moz spoken word:
"To have had something
taken to ????
no wonder there's tears
in your eyes."

Spoken word is spoken by Jesse, not Moz

Argh - this section is driving me mad - I've played it several times and can't work out what is being said in the second line. The only thing I know for sure is that it isn't Morrissey's voice, and the final line sounds more like "in their eyes". That second line almost sounds like 'taken me to these eyes' - but it doesn't make sense in the context of the rest of the piece, and it's unlikely to repeat 'eyes' twice in four lines - unless one of the other bits is wrong? Can anyone improve on this?

"To have had something
take me to these eyes
no wonder there's tears
in their eyes."

This is driving me mad! Clearly not Morrissey speaking here, but I’d love know what the sample is and just exactly what’s being said.

It sounds to me like "To have had something that you didn't prize / No wonder there's tears in your eyes."

Love it.

He sang a few bars in the Speedway lull the other night. Perhaps we will get to hear the whole thing tonight (pretty please?)
