If one is supposedly "lazy" and one is too horrible to even talk about, how can this collaboration work?
You live on this little planet where both of them have two modes: "Smiths" mode and "Shi.t" mode. It isn't a split personality disorder. I'm sure that both of these guys...um, I mean, one of these guys is still very interested in working and creating the music they want.

But that one-off was with Boz and crew. Are you sure if Johnny Marr came back and played, it would live up to those standards set in '97?
Of course, I'm always in the wrong place at the wrong time and never got to hear "The Queen is Dead" played live. I probably never will as Mr. Bell Bottoms is complaining about Brocolli Spears taking away his chances for a record deal.

Don't you think you are imagining what would happen a bit too much?
Facts that burst your bubble:
1. Johnny Marr has not been making flattering jokes about Moz or the Smiths when asked because he is tired of people asking what should be obvious.
2. After the courtcase, I'm sure that all 4 of them are sick of looking at one another. Morrissey blames Mike. Johnny blames Morrissey and Mike. Mike blames Morrissey and Johnny. And with that much tension, there is no chance of an enjoyable or laid back performance from anyone.
3. The smith's were an era for them as much as for you. All you care about them doing is pulling out their greatest hits and putting on that dream concert of "Top Smiths' tunes of all time" so you can dance around in some nostalgia fest.

yes, but it didn't look like anyone was watching the 3 tenors in concert, did it?
Other notables on VH1:
The cure- once the champion of goth freaks, crowd seated or standing and staring politely as Robert and crew finish their songs with uninterrupted peace.
Duran Duran- teeny bopper favorites of the early to late eighties. Simon LeBon alleged to have inspired lust in 15 year old girls. Now, crowd politely bobbing their heads to their childhood favorites.
Elvis Costello (on Storytellers)-one new wave punker with funny glasses, leaping around stage singing "radio, radio". now playing to gooney-eyed fans firmly seated and reserving their response to the end of the song.
Johnny Cash-supreme beermeister from the Ozarks manly singing tales of drinking and fighting. Now, appearing in storytellers paired with Willie Nelson with the only connections between the two is that they write country songs and are old, playing to yuppies and not one sign of a lit cigarette.
Now, I ask you again....do you think this is the sort of thing that should happen to the dynamic duo?
> Don't get me mad now, Suzanne.
boo!
