may sound a little weird

thank you

Here we go again - I see this as a song regarding internet porn. Could be completely wrong, but that's just me. I see a woman on a web cam 'performing' for her punters. The disappointment in the line I believe refers to her unfeeling punters, and her alone with or without her distant friends.

The fact that this was recorded in 1997 (I think) which predates some of the wilder side of the internet a little may prove me wrong, but that's just my interpretation.

Sk.

First of all, great song (thank you Spencer). Like many Morrissey songs, rife with double-entendres.

From the computer angle: turn on your machine, plug in your modem/phone line, whatever, and walk away while it downloads.

From a sexual angle: the lyric as is: "turn on, plug in, then just walk away..."

Plus the line "I'm wide to receive." Ample bandwidth / Legs spread

Somethin' like that.
