so, i was in Border's today with some people and having a good look over the music/how to play a harmonica Sonata in 30 minutes sort of stuff, and i took a quick thumb through an Irish folksong book.
There within was a song called "Morrissey and the Russian Sailor" and the book gives this story about a boxer by the name of Morrissey in Boston back in the 1850's who fought a Russian Sailor and won. And his victory was supposedly so legendary that some people back in Ireland wrote a song commemorating the event.
