Best story on here for ages. Love the thought of these women getting together for the first time in years, looking on the internet for the old photo of themselves as skinheads and finding out that they were used as a backdrop to Morrissey's concert. Really love this and Derek Ridger's...
Julie Birchill and her very strange voice selected 'Last of the International Famous Playboys' on Desert Island Discs this morning. She also briefly mentions the visit that he made to her house and his very big shoulders.

Morrissey in the Sun
Looks like Morrissey slagging off the royals has made it to the nation's favourite tabloid:

The Pooh Sticks - I Know Someone Who Knows Someone Who Knows Alan McGee Quite Well
"Now that the Smiths have split,
I've heard he thinks we're going to be it"
Great song
What a stupid, poorly written article. Trying to link Morrissey's pronouncement on the Falklands and the Tsunami last year in Japan is just ridiculous.
Mike Joyce on Radio 4 Today Programme
Discussing artists allowing their songs to be used on adverts. He seems to support Moz and Marr giving permission for 'Please, Please, Please ...' to be used on the John Lewis commercial. To hear this bit, skip to 1 hour 10 mins in...
Sheila Take a Bow
A taste of honey still seems fresh and funny today, Shelagh Delaney's writing was years ahead of it's time. She must be one Morrissey's biggest influences, especially during the early Smiths years, for this we should be incredibly grateful.
"I dreamt about you last...
Thanks for all your kind comments. If anyone fancies recreating their favourite Morrissey photograph I can recommend the following photographer based in Newcastle. It was a really fun experience feeling like Morrissey for a little while.

Thought people might enjoy this picture. Ever since I first saw the cover of YOR, I thought that it would be a nice image to recreate and now I have a baby, this is possible. I must stress that this was not the only reason for having a baby.
Great concert, really enjoyed it. Morrissey was on good form and looked much better than the tour in 2009. Quite a few of the songs were played quite slowly, which I thought really worked, he was very theatrical with the pronunciation of some of the lyrics. Speedway was particularly good, I'd...
I agree with the previous post, early to mid 90s was when Morrissey's hair and sideburns were at perfection. Especially love this picture with the strands of hair falling forward.
Maybe Morrissey has made a few spelling/grammar errors in his time but I doubt he has made more than the average university graduate. What is incredible is that he managed to foster such an incredible, keen interest in the English language, despite having gone to to a quite depressing sounding...
I've just kind of accidentally bought tickets for the Hawick concert, though I've got no idea how I'll get there. I just saw them on sale and couldn't resist it, I was planning on maybe passing the the Hawick tickets on to some nice Morrissey fans on this site if I manage to get tickets for the...
God 80s TV was bloody tedious, Morrissey looks rightly bored and very uncomfortable throughout. I love the look that he does when Mike Read says 'I'm sure he'll be back again'.
Never seen either of those but love them. What or where is the Clickimin centre? Morrissey and Andy look like a couple in that picture. I really like the red jacket and red socks look.
