Hasn't it been years since he played Florida? If that's the case, I'm guessing that there will have been plenty of songs that fans hadn't seen performed live before.
And even if you only compare last night's show with Morrissey's previous U.S. concert in December 2022, there are 8 changes.
It's a strong set list and I personally don't expect Morrissey to completely shake things up.
There is a good mix of Smiths and solo stuff, and roughly half of the songs could be considered classics.
Stephen Street has said many times that Vini Reilly had become very difficult to work with by the time they came to do the Everyday is Like Sunday b-sides.
I think some of the ratings for Subway Train and Trash might be influenced by the eras they were performed in. Morrissey's live shows were at their most popular at those points and I think that helps to build up the feeling of nostalgia for any songs sung back then.

Not a bad interview and I appreciate again that we get full answers and there isn't much of Fiona pushing herself forward.

I agree with those who have said that Nevin was an underrated collaborator.
I think it's telling that most of the higher rated songs were written after he had learned how Morrissey works. Mark Nevin has admitted that he only submitted musical sketches for the Kill Uncle album and expected them...
