Wow, I am impressed, Sander! I'm still missing all of those except the 'Certain people' promo. Has anybody else noticed that the selling price of the early 90s 7" promos seems to have absolutely skyrocketed in the past 6-12 months? Especially the 'Our Frank' promo has been fetching crazy prices...

    Morrissey letter from December 1983

There are a couple more letter snippets like that as well, actually. :) http://www.thischarmlessgirl.com/post/46879727323/ and http://www.thischarmlessgirl.com/post/44969081519/ Quoting Shakespeare and discussing fans who cry themselves to sleep listening to 'Hand in glove'...good stuff. ;)

    Have we seen these before?

The first one was definitely to Kevin Cummins...it's in his 'Manchester: looking for the light through the pouring rain' book. For anybody who's interested, the City Life cover in question is this one: http://www.morrisseyscans.com/post/40954532024/ The second one was to Stephen Wright...

No, none on the B-side either! I was pleasantly surprised by that, actually, since the only other copies I'd seen photos of all had a black dash or two on the labels. Two gorgeous items there, S-Plade - congrats! Some recent buys for me: Promo VHS tapes. 'Dave' and 'Boy racer' are...

Archive: Morrissey reviews the week's singles, Smash Hits 1984

If anybody's interested, there are actually two more instances of Morrissey reviewing the singles in 1984, besides this one - from Record Mirror (Feb) and Melody Maker (Aug). :) All 3 here: http://www.morrisseyscans.com/tagged/Morrissey-reviews-the-singles

Love those cassettes, I.R.! I don't have any of them except the Suedehead: best of. Last week's arrivals: The youngest was the most loved 2-track promo CD-R, and Japanese TWWL CD. Philippines Everyday is like Sunday 7", and Now my heart is full US cassette single. Plus a rather...

Thanks, guys! I'm really pleased with them. :) And Dave, in that photo there are three of the UK promos and two of the USA ones, though in total only two different types. There's also a 1-track promo of the album's title track that I never thought to take a photo of earlier, and a watermarked...

Some nice bargains there - especially the Maladjusted US LP. Kudos! Aww, they look lovely! Lucky you, Dave. :) Latest buys for me... I love the way this display stand looks. :) And since Johnny Marr items are allowed here... Nowhere near as exciting as Dave's signed...

Very nice, sander! I assume from the label that it has 'Interesting drug' on the A side? Lovely, lovely item, I must say. :thumb: Recent acquisitions: And some lovely promo cassettes...I especially love the Japanese 'Lost' one (in the last pic). :)

    Moz/Smiths Interview picture disc info?

Re: for your interest It's actually just a vinyl pressing of the 'Conversation Disc' CD - no interview with Marr, as the cover might have implied.

Re: Very, very nice, I.R.! They look lovely together like that, and congrats on completing yet another sub-set. :) I'm not sure about all of them, but on one of mine, the sticker/badge was actually on the shrink-wrap, so if that's the case, possibly many of them got lost that way? In any...

    Overpriced Items

Re: What the F**K!! Good heavens, that is ridiculous! I think I only paid about £85 or so for my copy, and that was just last year. This seller's got to be dreaming...

Congrats on that one, I.R.! That's the first of that pressing I've seen on the market in the past couple of years - nice catch! :thumb: Lovely! I was watching that one too (bidding, even? Can't remember now!), but was sadly rather broke at the time. Happy to see it went to somebody who'd...

I made the same promise to myself a year or so ago, but I didn't stick to it for very long. ;) Collecting became an addiction much faster than I thought it would! And yes, that last item is sheet music. I think it's one of only two of its kind released after the Viva Hate PVG book...
