    Morrissey A-Z: "I Knew I Was Next"

Sorry, but this is just bullshit, to be honest. If it was Justin Bieber og Rihanna singing, this would have surely been a #1 hit And you really don't think this is better than e.g. The Kid's a Looker or The Truth About Ruth? Wake up, I think I must say.

Morrissey A-Z: "I Just Want to See the Boy Happy"

Yes, I remember Morrissey on stage in Oslo in 2006, commenting "It will be fantastic when he learns to play" after Farrell's trombone solo.

    The Bobby-code

I have it mixed up a bit. This wasn't one of the crime series, it was a daytime rerun of the beloved Heartbeat ("Med hjarte på rette staden"), that I happened to catch

    The Bobby-code

In my country, an important easter tradition is to watch British crime series on tv. And in one of the series, set in the 60's in Northern England, we heard "bobby" being used as a slang term for police officer/constable. So the lines (from Late Night, Maudlin Street) "Inspector, don't you know...

    Morrissey A-Z: "Human Being"

What is this mysterious "poll on the other board" that people are referring to?? Does anybody have a link to it?

Morrissey Central "Social Media" (March 25, 2021)

Instagram is a subspecies of Facebook, so it was probably just a mix up. It's like saying "I don't live in Paris or Germany", but he probably meant France.

Morrissey Central "Social Media" (March 25, 2021)

As far as I remember, the updates on True to You were frequent enough. I prefer quality over quantity, so rather an interesting update now and then, instead of the weekly spamming of trivial/cringeworthy posts on Morrissey Central.

Morrissey Central "Social Media" (March 25, 2021)

The so-called "Morrissey Central" is really a stupid/cringe site, I think I must say, to be honest, or rather, to be a bit frank. It almost makes you sad on behalf of Morrissey, socialised, as he of course is, in pre-internet times. Whatever happened to True to You?

    Morrissey A-Z: "Ganglord"

Powerful song, thematically and sonically a cousin to the even more powerful Who Will Protect Us From The Police?

Morrissey A-Z: "Don't Make Fun of Daddy's Voice"

These are extremely powerful, timeless and true lines: When you are young you crave affection and it can come... from the strangest direction

Is Morrissey suffering domestic violence or suffering any abuse in his life?

I think you are over-analysing this, writing a song like Home Is A Question Mark isn’t really proof of abuse. It’s a common theme I think alot of people can relate to/write about, not just those who suffer from abusement

Fiona Dodwell: "How Morrissey outran The Smiths (and why his critics will never admit it)" (February 18, 2021)

That's sad to hear, if it's true. Is he the only one from Manchester who dares stand up against the terrorists and the meat industry, and could it be that maybe the working class are jealous of him, and therefore they respond with aggression/hate/distancing/calling him intolerant because of e.g...

    Morrissey A-Z: "Disappointed"

It’s really nice, live, when he sings «they’d rather die than have to sleep with you»

    The «World peace» question

Hello there MrShoes! Trolling, off-topicness and other ugliness will not be accepted here in the thread. Hope this is okay!

    Morrissey A-Z: "Dial-a-Cliché"

I think so. Someone's urging the singer to "grow up", "come out of the closet" (or "come out of the caddy", as Victoria Wood said) and "be a cliche" instead of being himself.

    Morrissey A-Z: "Disappointed"

People tend to forget how revolutionary the poetry of this song was when it first came out, back in the 1980s. This world, may lack style? I know but each bud must. Blossom (and grow) Young people of today yawn at everything that happend before they were born. They’ll never understand how...

    The «World peace» question

I took a long nap after work today, and when I woke up I thought about something I haven’t thought about before, namely that that Morrissey in 2014 recorded and released an album and a song named World Peace Is None Of Your Business, not long after appearing on the Nobel Peace Prize Concert in...

Does anyone know if Morrissey has religion?

I would say he's "Camp Catholic" due to his upbringing and it explains why he feels so at home in Latin American/Mediterranean culture. I think that makes sense. I hope it's okay to speculate a bit about his religious attachment!
