Radio 2 Best Albums of the 1980's list (October 9, 2020)

I think it a fair enough list, it seems to reflect what was big during my upbringing.

YouTube: Denise Johnson - "Well I Wonder" (October 2, 2020)

Her voice sounds great. that guitar needs work though....

    Morrissey Central Young...once (Sep. 16, 2020)

The middle finger must belong to Morrissey, if you check the other photo there is no ring on the hand Fawn has above her head.

Omega Auctions: October auction contains potentially unheard material

Do we have any information on “Have I”? i wasn’t aware that we had any lost covers other than a fool such as I.

Omega Auctions: October auction contains potentially unheard material

Is there anything us fans can do to make sure we hear this stuff, could we pull together and ensure we can top any bid from individuals who won’t share? I don’t have thousands to invest in this but I would gladly contribute.

Matt Walker (of1000faces) new album: "Astronomica" (releases September 25, 2020)

I really want to like it but sadly I can’t

Alain Whyte: "Tell Me" teaser video & lineup/tour update (August 2, 2020)

I think this could be great. It certainly took me by surprise to see Craig involved with Alain but I like Craig's work a lot, his writing and playing with Terry Hall was fantastic, Forever J is one of my favourite songs ever.

Is "Wide to Receive" Moz's most homoerotic song?

There are gay / bi sexual references from day 1. He hasn't tried to hide that, surely his letter to everyone that he was gay is clearly written in "What difference does it make?" I would say every era, probably every album contains something. He should come out properly and then we can all stop...

Mark Nevin (and family): "King Leer" cover (June 27, 2020)

Sweet. Not the greatest but they look like they are having fun, check out his version of I know it’s gonna happen someday on YouTube, it’s great

    Viva Hate reaction

I agree with the first response to this, I think most Smiths fans love Morrissey stuff too. I also think Viva Hate is a masterpiece but never really loved Suedehead, the guitars are bit too twee for me!

    Disasterpieces

I quite like Mute Witness and Sing your life, never liked Our Frank.

Alain Whyte: "Life Is A Pigsty" - Safe At Home Sessions (May 22, 2020)

Maybe they could just reform the songwriting partnership, not sure if that would work for Alain but I do think that is the only way back unless Boz chooses to move on. Many are commenting on Morrissey and his attitude towards people but I do think he is loyal to his band. I don't think he will...

Alain Whyte: "Life Is A Pigsty" - Safe At Home Sessions (May 22, 2020)

Well I think it works brilliantly. Sounds great to my ears. i hope they can work together again.

If you were Johnny Marr, what would you say to Morrissey?

Apologise for what he said about the people of China? Have you read the full quote? I think many would argue he was correct to speak up on the topic he was referring to. Don't get me wrong he has said a lot of things that I find unsettling and some of his efforts to cover his arse have been...

Morrissey: t*** of the year award

To be fair I don’t think Morrissey has done much wrong this year. A great couple of gigs and a brilliant album. shame he has done so much damage in 2019, 2018

Alain Whyte YT: "Mute Witness" acoustic (May 15, 2020)

Always loved this song although a real opportunity missed, production never sat well with me. Lamger might be a top dude but he wasn’t a Morrissey producer.

Morrissey Central British Pub and Image of Our Times (April 21, 2020)

I agree E. What a pathetic image to put out there, poor photoshop and just crass to slap it on the Queen. No royalist at all and I’ve never had a problem with the album and song title but enough people are dying across the world without seemingly wishing death to a 94 year old woman right now...

The autotune on IANADOAC is bumming me out

At 2.56 / 2.57 when he sings You’re the pitch steps up and down quickly and it isn’t a smooth transition like your voice would do naturally. Agree that this is being used as an effect rather than a fix.
