From John Emett:

The Smiths are in the Guinness Book of World Records 1999 under the heading "Rock" and "Most simultaneous "Indie" hits in the U.K." It says, "The Smiths held the top three places on the U.K. Indie chart on January 28, 1984."

Comments / Notes

Now I suppose we'll see Moz and the rest of the band show up on the FOX tv show for Guiness Book to play those three hits, eh? That would be a Twilight Zone-ish episode.

Even more impressive is that in January of 1984 the Smiths had not yet released their first album!
