A depressing version of Speedway. I enjoy Brendan's drumming (not as much as I enjoyed Matt's beat-the-skin-off-the-drum thudding, but nevertheless) but this version was divorced of any of the drama or theatrics that I've come to love. I know it's happened before, but I hate not seeing either...

Interesting reading this thread as I'm far higher on LIHS than I am on Dog, and five years on I feel like LIHS almost deserves an "underrated" badge. "Home is a Question Mark", "Spent the Day in Bed", and "I Wish You Lonely" are all tremendous and outside of In Your Lap (a career low), I find...
God, that was really fun. He sounded great the entire night. The opening stretch of HSIN through The Loop had a really special aura to it. It felt "big" - bigger than a normal Moz show.
I did enjoy Joyce Manor (noted Morrissey fans) earlier in the day asking if people were excited to see...
Allow me to be selfish for a moment and plug my own podcast.

I host the Art School Albums podcast and this week, on the eve of Morrissey's 61st birthday, we decided to celebrate one of the most polarizing figures in all of music. My good friend Keith Lipinski joined me to talk about being...
Was just thinking a few days ago about how LIHS has aged well in the two and a half years since its release. Home, Lonely, and All the Young People... are really strong tracks that I find myself going back to all the time. A number of really strong album tracks that I always enjoy hearing when...
Was too tired to add my thoughts along with the setlist last night. Wanted to pop back in and say that the show was terrific. Moz was in a great mood, band sounded great, loved the setlist.
Morning Starship/Find Out for Yourself back-to-back was incredible. Can't believe how good these...
Munich was for sure on there. Found it only slightly notable because his last show in Chicago (2017) was the first time he had played Munich since 2004. Can’t believe he’s been playing it two straight years.
Setlist:
You’re gonna
Suedehead
Alma Matters
Hairdresser on Fire
I Wish You Lonely
Paris
That Joke
Lady Willpower
Wedding Bell Blues
Morning Starship
Why Don’t You Find Out for Yourself
Everyday is Like Sunday
band intro
If you don’t like me, don’t look at me
Munich...
Assumed the LIHS bonus tracks would be filed away never to be heard live. Can't get over how good Twin sounded. Terrific setlist. Of course he found a way to keep Bullfighter in there haha

I'm not sure how to embed Instagram stories, but currently Busy Phillips (actress) has a series of videos on her story of her and her friend reacting to meeting Morrissey at a club in LA last night. According to the friend...
Did anyone hear the new David Berman/Purple Mountains record? My favorite thing that's come out this year. So glad he's returned and is making music once again.
