Morrissey A-Z: "I Know It's Gonna Happen Someday"

In Mozipedia, Nevin claims Boz came round to his and asked for the chords to one of/both of these songs, and that's when he knew he was out.

Morrissey A-Z: "I Know It's Gonna Happen Someday"

M.E.N.! My first Morrissey gig. And it's terrifying me that an anon account remembers my histrionics from a Morrissey gig seventeen years ago.

    Wonderful. Great live, too.

DrumWise Meets... Spike T. Smith (April 3, 2021)

Having said that all that, I really liked Deano in terms of presentation and how he played. He was/is very unpopular here and in that Mozipedia book by Goddard, never understood why. He won't stop Walker. Great drummer, great guy.

DrumWise Meets... Spike T. Smith (April 3, 2021)

Got to feel sorry for a bloke who lasts one year and is replaced. I can't say I went to any gigs at the time, far too before my time, but listening to boots of varying recording quality the drums do sound a bit all over the stop.

Morrissey A-Z: "I Just Want to See the Boy Happy"

Best story about this song is Morrissey insisting on playing it well in 2008, ages after Michael Farrell had left the live band, and employed Kris Pooley who couldn't play the trombone, unlike his predecessor. Eventually Kris was allowed to mash at his synthesizer during the "solo", which was...

Fiona Dodwell: "Ringleader in Reflection: A Look Back at Morrissey’s 2006 Album, Ringleader of The Tormentors" (March 31, 2021)

I love ROTT. It's probably my favourite post-comeback album, with World Peace a close second. The production really adds to the LP for me, and Pigsty acting as a pivot in the middle of the album hasn't been topped either before or after. Only one or two duds that probably shouldn't have made it...

Morrissey A-Z: "How Can Anybody Possibly Know How I Feel?"

The issue is that the songs on the album are similar in terms of style and production to those on Maladjusted, but it was crucial at the time that the mid-90s Morrissey and his output was put in a drawer and closed and we were told "no no, THIS is what he REALLY can do!" Granted, the singles on...

    Morrissey A-Z: "Have-A-Go-Merchant"

I like this song. Snogged a lass to it at a Smiths Disco about twelve years ago. Good times.

Morrissey A-Z: "How Can Anybody Possibly Know How I Feel?"

I quite like this song, when I am in the right mood. My issue with it is something I imagine others have - he had seven years to refine the tracklisting for the album, is THIS what he REALLY wanted on there? Especially with the calibre of Quarry b-sides. There was absolutely no reason to bring...

Manchester 50th birthday gig shirt worn by Morrissey

One of the biggest let down gigs of his career. His 50th birthday aaaaannnnndddd.....exact same set as usual.

Morrissey has single-handedly sunk the sales of his solo recordings and The Smiths

Very amusing that Skinny, whether right or wrong, has so many of you apostles on strings. I don't agree with him on everything, but he has you lot completely sussed. LOLZ.
