Pop Fiction, a brand new label, are pleased to announce that they will be releasing material by Alain Whyte's new band, The Motivators.

The band, who also comprise Gary Day and Spike Smith, will be going into the studio in the next few weeks to record their debut album, which will see the light of the day at the end of the year, to be preceded by a single.

The Motivators will be playing their first ever UK shows. They are:

Since he decamped to LA in the early 1990s, reams of print have been generated in praise, condemnation and defense of the former Smiths lynchpin. So what does this good-humoured, down-to-earth and lantern-jawed Mancunian have to say in explanation of his life and art? Well, not a lot, really. This rare interview reveals that Moz has found some peace in his life, although it'd seem there are parts of it which he still keeps at arm's length. Somehow, this only serves to make him even more lovable.
