It's been over 10 days since Morrissey's lawyer emailed about filing an injunction and the legal action. No word yet on anything further.

BBC 6 Music aired the 1994 documentary 'Smiths at the Beeb' on Monday night, as part of the station's Smiths week. Interestingly, I found out for the first time that 2 BBC versions of "Reel Around The Fountain" exist.

The original version was recorded in May '83 for a John Peel session and can be found on Hatful of Hollow. It was recorded again for the David Jensen Show in September '83, but was not aired due to The Sun's paedophile story nonsense. The version used in the documentary was the un-broadcast version.

Designer Magazine writes:

This month marks 20 years since the Smiths released their first single "Hand In Glove" and to celebrate Digital Radio Station BBC 6 Music is broadcasting live from the Salford Lads Club on May 16th as part of a week long series of archive recordings and interviews. Designer Magazine took the time out to speak to former Smiths drummer Mike Joyce about the unique relationships that the band was based on. Mike is currently working with ex-Oasis guitarist Bonehead in the band The Dogs (formerly Moondog One) and the Salford Lads Club event will see them playing semi-acoustic as they launch the band to the nation.

Without wanting to spill too much there's certainly a lot of interesting tales about Morrissey's friendships, relationships and how this affected the rest of the band.

This friday Andy Rourke will play disk jockey at the Grüner Salon Volksbühne (Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz) in Berlin.

Support DJ's will be Mancunian Phil Hopkin from the Going Underground club network Stockholm and Natalie Stardust from the Coney Island series in Berlin.
There will be enough time to talk with Mr Rourke to ask any questions about The Smiths and Morrissey and to get some things signed. Get shirty!

Barbarism begins on the 16th of May 2003 at 11 pm and for me at home. ;)
