It has finally happened! Record Collector magazine is taking on the Top 50 Morrissey rarites in the November issue. This issue hits newstands on November 19th and I sure will be a hot topic in the forms section. Morrissey is also the cover star.

Record Collector is a monthly UK magazine. They will list all rare & collectable items - in all formats; vinyl, tape, promos, cds, etc. Probably even memorabilia.

  • I can't think of that many Morrissey rarities - apart from the original pressings of his early singles? Original Suedehead, Everyday is Like Sunday & Interlude CD-singles are pretty scarce too. Especially in Mint condition.

But who is really interested in japanese miss-pressed one-sided promos??

As long as I have his FULL back catalogue (CD & vinyl) I am happy!!

  • I've got UMD (Sony Playstation) sealed disc of "Who Put the M in Manchester?" live.

    Is it rare?

    Probably not.

What on earth were Sony Playstation thinking? A nice Morrissey item nonetheless.

  • For anyone looking for this, it is not in the November issue of Record Collector. That came out on the 24th September.
It will be in the Christmas issue.

    Best music magazine ever.

No, it's the Christmas issue, out on November 19th.

Record Collector comes out thirteen times a year, once every four weeks. Hence there is an issue for each month, plus an additional Christmas issue.

The December issue has already been out three weeks, with, as you say, The Stones on the cover.

The Morrissey article will be in the Christmas issue (No. 370).

For those who can't get it in their local newsagent, go to www.recordcollectormag.com
and you will be able to order it when it comes out.

As I said before, it's an excellent magazine, essential for anyone interested in the broad spectrum of popular music.

  • Record Collector is a top magazine. You can usually buy it in Tesco. Number 1 will be November the Second of which one 12" white label copy is known to exist. And, no sadly i don't own it but it's worth 3,000+.
