If any Smiths fans are checking out Morrissey on Sat May 30th you will be in for a treat. Mike Joyce is doing a guest DJ set at Jamm in Brixton (261 Brixton Road)
As a massive Smiths fan myself, the main reason why I picked up the guitar in the first place, my band Shelta are supporting Mike on the night, tickets only £10 and can be obtained from myself.

This money, to date, totals 700 thousand pounds. This figure is in addition to the figures mentioned above."

Mike Joyce aka Mike Gross -- you have to work Hard to attain all of the luxuries in life that you desire. Yep. You have to work like a dog to acquire living comfortably and having all of the expensive particular things that you, yourself desire. It’s a cold hard world and nobody but you can get these things unless you work really really hard for them. Like "somebody else" we both know. Isn’t it
Anyways, well done on your continued DJ “career”. We are so impressed at all you’ve accomplished.
How does it feel to be hopeless. How does it feel Mike Joyce aka Mike Gross, to not be able to do anything, except to be a DJ. Haaaa.
Isn’t that sad

The Smiths were the greates band to come out of the UK (or anywhere for that matter) and comments like this just sully their name.
Whether you like the guy or not, he was an awesome drummer and anyone who thinks that Andy and Mike were just making up the numbers is delusional.
Rightly or wrongly, the guy thought he was unfairly treated, went to court and won his case. The Moz should have paid up like Johnny did and that would have been the end of it.
Personally I wouldn't be going to his show as I have no real interest in DJ's but I would be delighted to meet any member of The Smiths given the chance.
Finally, the guy deserves to earn a living whichever way he chooses and who are you to deny him that?
