At Tony Visconti's website, he has some follow-up information from ROTT's mastering (posted 3.15.06):

"Ringleader of The Tormentors continued with post production work until the middle of December. Some tracks needed tweaking, but I was back home in NYC and Morrissey was still in Rome. We tweaked by e-mails. Emily Lazar of The Lodge masterfully mastered the album, but had to go back to the drawing board three times at our request. We think something must have gone right, because the initial reaction from Moz fans and press has been wonderful. I listen to my white label all the time! Look for the CD release on April 4th, on Moz's Attack label through Sanctuary."

  • When did Morrissey start communicating by EMAIL and using the phone? Every interview he gives he says he doesnt use the internet or the phone

  • that Moz communicates via email, ithink it can be assumed that he peruses the internet from time to time as well. itend to think he's glummed by here once or twice, especially given his frequent bashing of the site, derogatorily refering to it as the "So-Low" site, and threats of legal action coming from his/Sanctuary's camp.

when ihear the final line of "On The Streets I Ran"- "Take people from Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, just spare me!"- icant help but wondered if it were at all inspired by that pathetic poll (which icant seem to find) that took place a while back asking if Morrissey owed the people of Pitt anything special for having cancelled tourdates there- toofunny.

it makes you wonder if Moz has taken time to read anything yuve ever written on here about him and his music....
