...this is the same David Letterman that Morrissey named in his list of people he hated at the Vega$ show in 2002. He also included Elton John in that list but rescinded his bitterness -and even asked him to be a part of Meltdown. He apparently has had a change of heart for Letterman as well...

I do not mind Morrissey getting exposure on television; instead of appearing on television that day that could have been a date to make up a canceled performance. I enjoy his music very much, but since he cancelled virtually all his Texas concerts I think it would be a priority to make sure those canceled dates are made up just like was done for Inland Invasion. I don't think these actions were intentional, but I still can't shake the feeling that Texas fans are deemed less important--and this is disappointing and disheartening.

As I've said elswhere I hope Moz will use this opportunity to announce he's leaving America in disgust.

This is great news. I wish he was playing Conan instead, though. I've just never been a huge Letterman fan. I mean, his show is good, but Conan is SO funny.

I don't know they just seem like last attempts to get more fans in the states. The only time I really had a great time watching a late show performace was when he messed up during "i have forgiven jesus". I hope he messes up again!!!!!!!

i managed to call every connection i have and scored 2 tix for Letterman on tues. Myself and fellow Moz freak Emily will be posted outside all day trying to catch a glimpse. I hope to get some photos to post! Can't wait, hope luck stays on our side. We'll post all about it come wednesday!!!!
