I have opened a mini-site for Morrissey fans where they can put their thoughts and prayers regarding his recent severe illness. It can be found at http://www.deletrius.org/waitingforsilence/moz/.

  • Did you actually see him at Manchester? He was as radiant and healthy as ever. He's skiving from a crappy talk show. That's all. Gerra grip.

I guess the site is dumb, and obviously a waste of my time to create. All I know is that someone would not joke about having meningitis if they didn't have it. I would make-up something a little less horendous if I were to cancel appearences as Morrissey has done. I wish that my best friend's passing of the illness was simply a joke... Meningitis is more than a "depressing" disease; it can be fatal. It isn't something you sugar-coat. Again, if Morrissey isn't serious about having it, then I would probably quit being a fan of his. It isn't something to take lightly. Anyway, I just thought it would be a nice gesture to make a little site. I'm sorry if it was pathetic or "obsessive," because that wasn't my intention. I guess that since my best friend Michael died of meningitis I took it personally when I found out that Morrissey claimed to have it as well...

Again, I apologize for my rash stupidity.

  • You are beastly people. A guy creates a get-well site as a goodwill gesture and all you can do is criticize him and call him names. I find it so strange that you claim to be fans of a man who has captured the hearts of people around the world by wearing his heart on his sleeve. Isn't that why we all love Morrissey? Because he says those things we are too afraid to say and he's "not sorry for things [he's] said." The world has more than enough cynics and crashing bores. If Moz says he has meningitis, why not take his word for it? Won't you feel the fool if he takes seriously ill or worse?

  • Morrissey's illness is not something that is new. If you read some of the recent magazine interviews you would know that he has had this for a couple of months and has had to take time off even before he started touring. This is not something that he just made up because you think he did not want to be on Kilborn.

  • ....disease and he honoured her at Royal Albert Hall. Will the UK ever get to grips with this disease that people seem to catch while taking a shower.
always let the water run for a while if the shower hasn't been used for a while, you inhale the disease from the water mist.
scary stuff and how would people handle him passing away at this stage?
    I don't wanna witness that.

  • It's true he is really sick.

I heard he had a bad dose of "Wank's disease" - a common disease to infect inhabitants of London, as well.

Hope he gets better soon.....may his feet touch theground again sometime soon.
