Was in the audience for the recording of BBC Television's 'Later with Jools' last night. Morrissey the headline attraction - he and the band performed 4 songs - IBEH, First of the Gang to Die, Kiss Me (sic - off the new album) and There Is A Light That Never Goes Out. Quick chat with Morrissey at the piano - usual topics with Morrissey appearing shy and awkward initially before rising to the 'challenge'. Meltdown guests the Ordinary Boys were on the show too and got a Mozzer namecheck.

  • Did they give any indication which three of the four tracks will be broadcast? Or does it look like they'll show all four? That seems kind of unlikely.
I'd wager "Let Me Kiss You" will be the one dropped, as they'll be wanting to promote both the singles, and The Smiths track will make a pleasant coup for Mr Holland.

"You should not go to them...let them come to you...just like I do..."
  • Would this ever be on BBCA in America? OR did they take the Jools Holland show off BBCA all together?
