I was lucky enough to check out the December 28th and 29th Boz Boorer shows in New York. Both nights I chatted with Boz and he mentioned that there are about 21 tracks recorded and four more months left in the studio.

The Monday night acoustic show was a particular highlight. Boz played 'Kit' and 'Mexico.' He also brought a friend up onstage to sing 'The More you Ignore Me...,' which he sang very well.

There were quite a few Morrissey fans there last night and Boz really seemed to appreciate the support.

Look for Boz downloads soon on Mrs. Shankly's.

Forthcoming Boz shows are listed here.

  • I've actually never heard this song, but I read all about it by doing a Yahoo search, which brought me back here to Moz-Solo for Sunday, April 22, 2001. I read all those posts...and the lyrics sounded great to me.

I don't know a thing about downloading music.

Is there a way I can listen to this song?

  • May someone ask to Boz who has written the music of this song? Thanks.

  • In the Mojo interview (I think) me were told that 24 had been written/demoed. Boz described the songs as 'just superb'. Perhaps the 3 unrecorded songs weren't considered as superb as previously thought!

  • Wha!! (Score:2, Funny)

Hi, Morrissey here, there's a lot to do in the next four months, I'll have you know!!!! I'm writing a song that is very relevant to todays world. Its called "Hotmail wont let me have more than 2mb of message space(what a waste)." This is an exclusive for you moody little bastards.....

"Oh, I log on to the machine, which I dont like (its far to P.C.), but I dont have a choice(Rejoice).
E-mail wasnt always free, and I'm sure it wont be, for long (old Bill is strong).
That takes me back, to the day, I didnt receive a message 'cause my account was that way, too small, overloaded, very marr, very Bizarre, Hotmail, Download the speed of a snail, its not for me, I'm Morrissey.

People shout Broadband, reminds me of a fat girl off tv, squeezing into a TP, its not the girl from long ago, shes no more, she died of a heart attack, thats little more than me, when I wait for 56k, to decay my mind, Im forty-odd and I feel left behind........

    well thats enough for now.....

    Love ya MOZ
Thats the first verse or so, exclusive to the fools. (love ya!)

  • Mexico? (Score:0, Flamebait)

of all the Morrissey songs for Boz to do solo, why the hell would he pick "Mexico," perhaps the most boring Morrissey song EVER.

You'd think he would pick songs he could really rock/rockabilly out on, such as "Sister I'm A Poet," "The Loop," or "Certain People I Know" or countless other songs.

  • The show in Brooklyn was Amazing. Mid set he played acoustic versions of Jack the Ripper and Why don't you find out for yourself - I was standing at the urinal when i heard JTR starting - needless to say I didn't was my hands and ran upstairs.
Afterwards my friends and I hung out with Boz, Lyn and friends down the street. What a night. Boz was getting ready to go to LA to finish up the Moz album. Lyn (great bassist btw) kept her great stories going all night - iIcould have listened to her for days.
