Interview with Stephen Street in Under The Radar Magazine
Just dropping a line to let you know that Stephen Street was interviewed for the latest edition of Under The Radar magazine. Stephen talks about how he came to collaborate with the Smiths and Morrissey, as well as how he came to work with Blur.

It's an interesting, quick read...check it out!

Big Brother UK winner quotes Morrissey
Cameron Stout, the winner of this year's Big Brother UK, quoted Moz in his column in Scottish national newspaper The Sunday Post.

The 32-year-old fish trader from Orkney, Scotland, who happpens to be a self-confessed virgin, was talking about the trappings of his new-found fame and said "I remember Morrissey once singing 'Fame, fame, fatal fame. It can play hideous tricks with the brain'. Well, I hope it doesn't play any tricks with me..."

The piece appeared on page 10 in the October 19 edition.

Morrissey theme on "Never Mind the Buzzcocks"
Morrissey was a recurring theme on British pop TV quiz 'Never Mind the Buzzcocks' tonight (Tues 20th). Compere Mark Lamarr had a list of things that Morrissey hates and revealed about 40 pages of paper which started with Elton John, meat eaters etc and ended with 'The YMCA Dance'! He read from the list at every spare moment in the show including the closing credits. It was actually quite funny!

"Ask" used in ESPN NHL predictions
ESPN NHL used the Smiths "Ask" in describing predictions for the Eastern Conference Finals...The Ottawa Senators. Useless tidbit, but what the hell.

"Roy's Keen" used to introduce the real Roy Keane
Roy Keane (Manchester United footballer, Irish legend) appeared on the Eamonn Dunphy show in Ireland last Friday night and I must admit my heart skipped a beat as our very own Moz could be heard belting out "Roy's Keen" as Roy Keane himself was introduced.

I watched Big Brother and liked Cameron, I even bet £10 at 2-1 that he'd win. BUT I never knew he was a Smiths fan. Well he must be a bit of a fan at least to quote from an album track in his column. He used to pretend to like Steps and stuff like that. I think he was trying to act younger because he was the oldest in the house at an almost ancient 32! I'll have to start getting The Sunday Post again. Good lad Cameron.
I wish I'd seen that Buzzcocks. Oh well, it'll be repeated.

First of all, the Buzzcocks thing was funny as fuck!! It wasn't nasty, just taking the piss in a fond way. Excellent.

What DOES offend me is that homophobic prick daring to quote Moz! Git.

That's all we need. Another high-profile celeb to perpetuate the myth that all Moz fans are sex virgins!
