There is a new Suede book coming out November 3rd. It mentions the story about Morrissey covering 'My Insatiable One' and other things such as Brett asking Morrissey to "come around for an E". The book is written by David Barnett. Suede: Love & Poison: The Official Biography (Amazon link)

Attitude... (Score:1)
Suede remain constant...whether that is a good or a bad thing is up for debate depending on your own feelings about them. Me? I love them...I love that Morrissey covered "My Insatiable One"...I love that Brett managed to rise above indiedom and become a true rock and roll star in a way that so many others never will.
Just my opinion.

Thereafter, I think Moz got a bit mad at Brett cause he said to the press that Morrissey was actually really boring. I just hope that he got over it since !
Now mentioning Morrissey and the Smiths in a Suede book is the very least the author could do given the influence they had on Brett and his pals, from the band's name to the lyrics.

I've always wondered about this. Maybe they just asked him and he was flattered? (Suede were always huge Smiths fans).
