  • How sad are we and how sad will they be ? The ones that sue the former leaders and true creatives of the band dj'ing for the Smiths' anniversary... Aren't they ashamed ? Are they gonna make living out of the Smiths ashes until they're 60 ?

They should watch Galaxy Quest. Those 2 are gonna sign posters on which they're aged 20, attend old fans conventions and pretend they still love it until they rot.

I know this is my very personal opinion and most of you will deeply disagree but I'm shocked that they're only allowed to do anything using the band's name. Mike and Andy, turn the page and listen to George Bush : the game is over :-D

  • I hope there aren't loads of "trendys" going to stereo tonight pretending they know all the words to their unsuspecting girlfriends. The Smiths are becoming quite popular again but the sight of these phoneys makes me quite ill. Morrissey is for life, not just for christmas!

  • First off, since when is mid-night a late drinking hour?!

Secondly, we're all wondering... will sounds of 'Meat Is Murder' be heard over steaks sizzling on said BBQ, or will they be serving nothing but boring old "Veggiebobs"?

Either way, well crafted boys, well crafted!

Well...I went and got drunk and got them to sign my 'Queen is Dead' album. Couple of arseholes, but I shook their hands and wished them the best, even though they were greedy gits. I was very drunk though.

  • I am truly shocked at the comments above. It's quite frightening that obsessed fans can issue death threats and do so supposedly Morrissey's behalf. Rather hypocritical considering most of you cry foul about war and violence in general.

And as most people on this site profess to be rabid socialists, I ask you why you don't practice what you preach? Under the guise of socialism, the creator is no more entitled than those hired to bring it to fruitition.

Joyce & Rourke played on the records. They were working class labourers. They are entitled to compensation.

Morrissey is the selfish & greedy party involved. As a socialist, he should know better.

  • You guys posting all the anti Mike & Andy Stuff obviously have never been in a band or toured before. We chew on all the same dirt as our Band leaders deal with getting sick, long hours in the studio doing differant takes, personalaties, crappy shows etc... Bono in U2 understood that & they are still playing today. MOZ would have profited more in the long run with an even split. How filthy rich is Bono. We play for 2 reasons 1. Salvation 2.Money. I saw The Smiths in 1985 at the Hollywood Palladium when I heard Andy play I switched from Guitar to Bass. song with a song best tone ever Long Live Andy & Moz & the rest of the boys no one person should live at the top of the hill.

  • Dear Andy:

It is YOU who is keeping The Smiths from getting back together, because you are obese.

Morrissey looks so-so, J. Marr okay, and Joyce must be looking sharp with his 1.5 million Pounds Sterling, only half of it paid.

But you Andy are a fat cow. Lose the weight, lay off the pork, and you might be able to tour for Strangeways yet.
