The Thriils mention Morrissey in yet another interview which appeared in the magazine supplement of the Sunday Express on 29 June. They say Morrissey came to see them rehearse and Daniel said:

"It was weird, we thought he must be mad into music we all like but he does not seem to like any music. We listed 50 bands and he liked 2 of them."

Perhaps they should check out "Under the Influence"

  • At weekend I read another interview with The Thrills (can't remember where) and they said that Morrissey had suggested that their debut album should be named Hey Hey We're The Thrills! But they chose another (crap) title instead.

  • it's kinda interesting how Moz has now stopped mentioning the thrills all of a sudden.

He seems to have a habit of championing new bands for five minutes then never talking about them again.

Happened with James, Suede, Echobelly etc.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing, he seems to like giving new bands a 'leg up'.

  • I wonder what bands they asked him about? Someone just needs to do an interview where they send him a list of about 150 bands and he comments on them. Wouldn't that be great to read?
