Nada Surf covered the Smiths 'There Is A Light' in Tourcoing - Le Grand Mix (North of France) on the 1st of May. They played it as the 1st song of their 2nd encore. They introduced it with 'This is a song, we have just worked on it this afternoon'. The version was very good.

  • Maybe someone could record that and send the song to Mrs Shankley's site?

    "Other Nada Surf news -

XFM repeat their Nada Surf session next week on the Claire Sturgess show on Monday 12th May at 9pm then on Thursday Radio One's Donna Legge show in Ireland features the band in their 'Burn Baby Burn' section of the programme between 8-10pm. Today the band pre-recorded 'Inside Of Love' and 'Blizzard of '77' acoustically for Pete Mitchell's 'Razorcuts' show on Virgin Radio and this will be transmitted on the 25th May. The band have also recorded 4 more tracks live for BBC 6 Music (including an incredible version of The Smith's 'There Is A Light That Never Goes Out') and these will all be aired week commencing 26th May. Lastly (phew!) the band recorded an interview for Sky's new music video channel 'The Amp' (Sky Digital channel 469) so expect to see this next week alongside the 'Inside Of Love' video."
