In the latest Rolling Stone issue under the Hall of Fame section on page 109, The Smiths' The Queen Is Dead was reviewed as one of the greatest albums ever made. The album received 5 stars by the reviewer. The article ends with a rather funny quote "if the queen's reaction to Morrissey was we are not amused, then she was the only one."

if these rock journalists would think for themselves they would realise that "Strangeways..." is the best Smiths album.

Rolling Stone is simply awful (Score:1)
Rolling Stone is the worst excuse for journalism I can imagine. Any broad with big tits can make the cover. They have blasted the gays, the liberals, the conservatives, and every other faction of human life known to man.
Rolling Stone routinely employs sensationalistic tactics to sell more copies. They love to feature real 'kool' bands like-
Papa Roach
Broccoli Spears
Creed
Eminem ad nauseum
I wouldn't buy that rag if it were the last written word on earth. I am not impressed with the fact that they have lauded the Smiths' two albums. They gave horrible reviews to at least two of Morrissey's albums. You have to remember, Rolling Stone caters to 16-24 year olds who live off of their parents' income.

ps- don't forget: recently RS said that 25% of all those infected with HIV were infected deliberately and purposefully by consenting adults who mutually wanted to spread the infection
