Morrissey & Marr-donna! Just read in the latest Q Magazine (May 03).. Madonna interview: 'Life in Los Angeles, she says, is quiet. She's been taking guitar lessons for the past two years and strums along to Neil Young, Radiohead and The Smiths for fun.' Can't he sign to Sire?!

I really am in NO POSITION to judge Madge whatsoever. I can, however, take up arms when she decides to strum to the Smiths!
I mean, COME ON! Honestly, can you picture her on a sofa in a coffee-house singing UNLOVEABLE while strumming a six-string?
Would those two CONES be on or off for the performance?
URGGH I am angry.

I'm a big fan of The O'Rielly Factor. Its very refreshing too know a serious - knows what thier talking about - news station actually researches and reports on fact as apose to opinion. Since when is MTV the scource for news? Dumbasses.
Anyway yeah...I'm writing this angry letter because this time and this time only O'Reilly didn't do his homework. He reported that Madonna is Anti Bush and just another celebrity that opposes.
He showed a clip of Madonnas American Life video. The part where she throws a gernade at a George Bush look alike and he uses to smoke. He goes off saying aren't we sick of these celebrities blaw blaw blaw....not even contacting or reading anything. If he had, he would have found out she has publicly spoken out in support of the troops and behind George Dubbya.j
She says the throwing of the gernade was symbolic of what happened at 911 and that it was thrown into George Bushes hands as an oppurtunity to take something like that and turn it into something useful...as he did.
BUT NOOOOOOOO...did he ask, did he take the time to find out? NO. It pisses me off. I guess nobodies perfect but....I'd expect more from O'Rielly than to be so presumptuous. Just lash out and say her careers over and interpret it for his viewers rather than let them interpret it for themselfs.
The lines in her song that go:
I'd like to express my extreme point of view,
I'm not a Christian and i'm not a Jew
I'm just trying to live the American dream,
and I just found out that nothings is what it seems.
The song isn't even about what the video is about. The song is about her past and how she lived in a Drowned World of celebrity. As a material girl who eventually finds out that living the American Dream of fame and fortune won't make you happy. Its a reflection of her life and an informative letter to all who seek to be famous like its the cure for everything.
She says, "my extreme point of veiw, not a christian/jew.....which means She has an Extreme opinion on the subject but she's not a Christian or Jewish Extremist.
Followed by, "trying to live the american dream, just found out nothings like it seems.....means - in relation to the songs topic.....the american dream which is the life she has....its a dream, its was millions or...all people would like the have the shot at. Like the people thousands of hopefulls on American Idol - Star search etc...there all going after the images in the head. The dreams of money changes everything. Fame can make you happy.
SHE pulled it from being debuted - NOT VH1. She didn't want it to be misinterpreted as something its not, like IT HAS.
Rite away, O'Rielly hears Madonna, Celebrity, Granade, George Bush and comes up with his own idea. She's not just another celebri
