These are not real albums. Don't go into shops and ask for them. You will only annoy people. These are albums that may one day be made. But not yet.

...Ah, The Smiths. Sadly taken far too seriously by adolescents, who then revisit the albums ten years later and discover the humour. Avoid anyone who actively tries to look like Morrissey. This includes Morrissey.

  • ....Ah, The Smiths. Sadly taken for too unseriously by adults, who have revisted their entire lives to discover that their childrens view on on reality was right...and humourous. Avoid anyone who actively does not mimick anyone but themselves. This includes Morrissey who is at this point still constantly changing with his own inclinations.

That would be a entertaining album,

  • Dear Friends-

I found this 'news' article to be extremely offensive and in poor taste. What makes us fascinated with ghetto lifestyles? Why do we glamorize and demoralize black American culture? Or urban culture, for that matter?

...And what does this say about us? Irregardless of your cultural background or ethnicity, this 'news' posting of a fake CD was deplorable. This is the worst news article ever to be posted on this website. It was a cross between Weird Al Yankovic and the Beastie Boys. How hateful can we be?

I am not a fan of hip-hop or R&B whatsoever, but I must admit a tribute album based around hip-hop and R&B would be very interesting indeed. These 'tracks', however, are vile and disgusting.

How is it that wealthy folks like Eminem and others (who are, by the way, laughing their way to the bank) can sing about the woes of urban culture? How many of these artists can honestly testify to any real suffering on a first-hand basis? Is this a case-study of 'Reader Meet Author'-? What is funny or clever or glorious about whores, drugs, drive-by killings, and poverty?

Sorry to sound like a preacher, but I- for one- am tired of people capitalizing off of debased imagery. Vile humor bores me to tears and leaves me desperate for something positive. Morrissey is very positive and probably would cringe at these 'cover' songs.

    Sincerely-KEN

  • Its a stereotpye. I'm sure if there was to be an indie tribute album to say... Eminem or Dre then there'd be mentions of skinny white boys in duffle coats with Morrissey quiffs. Of course not all indie fans dress like that but for many ignorant people that is all indie music is about.

If there was to be a posting of such an album I for one would not be offended as it is not true, just a bit of fun.
