I saw Louis Vuitton Haute Couture Homme during the fashion week in Paris, Marc Jacobs (Vuitton's designer) said he was inspired by The Smiths and mods for this collection. While the models were walking through the catwalk, a remixed version of "This Charming Man" was playing. but I don't know what remix it was.

  • I'll bet Morrissey will be very heartened to learn that one of the world's largest purveyors of leather handbags employs an admirer of his work. ;)

  • Moz spends his time wearing Gucci and stuff... Long gone is Marks & SPencer ! Tom Ford loves fur. What difference does it make ?

On a lighter note, for once the USA give birth to a decent designer, don't hassle him !

you can see the whole show at www.vuitton.com and judge by yourself of the quality of the clothes and hear the three great Smiths song chosen for the show. I personnaly love Marc Jacobs' work and am glad he used his musical influences for this collection (even if the models don't wear fat ladies shirts)

I'm a member of the vuitton team for menswear, and I just want to say that the Smiths were a big inspiration for the collection
not their own style but the feeling of the music
(60's london movies) and the record sleeves
    the music was :
    barbarism begins at home
    well I wonder
    what difference does it makes
    this charming man remix
I wished that Moz was there!
