THE MOZ VERSUS THE NUGE

Excerpt:
Due to the well publicized and bilious hatred between intelligent pop godhead Stephen Morrissey and NRA rocker Ted Nugent, it is with great irony that each of them shall play in Portland this week--at the same venue, to boot...

  • The only time I can remenber Ted Nugget and Morrissey being put in the same sentence was way back when - when I advised some gulliable fellow Morrissey-solo reader that they should buy the then current issue of National Rifelman - with the column written by Morrissey that detailed a bow hunting trip, Ted and him had gone on.

Needless to say there was an unexplained spike in National Rifleman that month.

But my real question is how come I wasn't hired as a consultant for this article?

  • It's the craziest thing...Sometimes I have these dreams. Now I know this sounds weird but see deer somehow develop a prehensile thumb and trigger finger and they learn to walk upright. They all have semi-atomatic weapons and they are hunting these really super-stupid redneck looking morons dressed in bright orange. I always hate waking up from that one....

  • Yet again, Morrissey's first name has not been spelled correctly. It's S-T-E-V-E-N.

    I scare dead people.
  • ...And understandable interpretations, given that Morrissey's reputation as the thinnest man in rock was well earned at one time. Amazing how much things can change in just a decade. Of course, I remember thinking when I saw the Boy Racer video that the make-up intended to make him look beaten up instead functioned to make him look 60 or so. The transformation was both jarring and torturous.

  • For over 25 long years I've been filled with hate for this utter idiot Nugent; but having been a Smiths/Morrissey fan for the past 17 years, I did not know that their paths had ever crossed - I fully understand Morrissey adversion to this poor excuse for a human being. Every time I used to hear that inane "Cat Stratch Fever" on the radio, I'd wish a cat would stratch his eyes out. And I'd gladly rip out his vocal cords. Normally, it takes a lot to push my buttons; but Ted, you're dead.
