Morrissey To Play Two Rare UK Gigs - Xfm

Update: 08/05 15:31 GMT: Article at NME.com: Morrissey to play two rare live shows in London
---
Punchdrunk1975 writes:

Tickets are now on sale for both nights gigs @ www.gigsandtours.com

They're going on sale at the venue at 9am on Wednesday morning.

There is discussion on the the gigsandtours tickets in the previous article. Are they a reliable place to buy tickets, or is it better to buy directly from the Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday?

  • Im gonna hire a box for me and my partner with a bottle of champagne and a meal while the support act is on (any idea of costs involved). Ive never been to a gig and hope that all goes to plan. What a bummer that i can't take my digital camera or mini disc recorder...there must be a way? See you all there!

  • Have been coming to this site since 1999, and am very excited to say I've just ordered four tickets for the Tuesday show. Fantastic and very exciting.

But bloody hell, they're expensive - £30 standing! I went to see Belle and Sebastian at RAH and they were a lot less than that. Is it possible that Mozzer knows we'll pay a lot to see him, or that the RAH is stinging him too?

  • There is a small picture of Morrissey on the sites home page. There is no listing under newly announced gigs. Don't look up Morrissey in the artists a to z either, just click on the picture to order. See you there.

  • pardon the Carry On innuendo.. But of course, I'll be there.. standing room only of course... hope someone bootlegs the whole event.. Let's hope it actually happens and it's not too hyped up as the event of the century! But it's won me over already!

  • how can www.gigsandtours.com etc sell tickets when ive foned the RAH and they told me the ticket price is still not certain - and they go on sale tomorrow!

always buy direct why buy thru a net site that then chucks on a few quid for ringing the RAH themselves.

also in 1999 when Mozz did 4 nites at the london Forum he added the rest of the dates after so i would say hold off on the RAH gig , apparently the sound is bad and u could prpbably get to a gig nearer where u are.......

  • £2.50 per ticket admin charge and £4 postage. How much do these jokers want to make off the back of a single ticket? I'll be calling the box office I think.

Wonderful news about the shows though.

    Heaven knows I excited now!!

Got 2 tickets from Gigs and tours, but you only have 5 minutes once your seats are allocated to bang in your credit card details.

Be prepared to try a few times if your computer is a bit slow.

Id pay a grand to watch him play in the dog and rot.

  • gigs and tours is the website for SJM and Metropolis, the two main music promoters for the UK. One of these is obviously promoting the show and as such you should have no problems getting the ticket(s) via their site.

  • I've looked forward to this tour for 2 or 3 years and was all set to buy my RAH ticket this morning. But at the crucial moment I decided there's no way I'm taking a day off work and travelling 400+ miles to see Morrissey sing B sides and Maladjusted songs for 60 minutes. It's not even as if I haven't done that before.

This time, if he comes North then I'll still go, but otherwise I think I've just found the limit of my commitment.

  • Just booked my ticket for the Tuesday! :) Can't wait to see him live again, as I was at his last two UK gigs. But why can't he come home to the North for some gigs?

If any UK fans fancy meeting for a pint on the Tuesday, drop me an email at [email protected]
