  • Got my copies today. £4.98 for 3 new songs and the new artwork ain't bad!

I hope that we get four singles off this album, if Morrissey keeps up with the excellent studio Bsides.

  • This is a matter of an opinion of course but Morrissey has always had great B-sides: Disappointed, Hairdresser, Nobody Loves Us, Lost, Daddy's Voice, etc. The List REALLY is endless.
It's great to buy a single when you get some Quality material as B-sides...rather than some half-witted remix crap which is - lets face it - Never good.

Estimates a number 18 placing for Youngest. It's not looking good.

  • Ganglord- sublime! It's just so beautiful, and...I can't put it into words.

I KNEW it was going to be a great song when he sang it live- it was the song that I had stuck in my head for days afterwards, and I couldn't wait to get it on release.

I think it's so nice to have really great b-sides, other artists don't really do that do they? I'm glad it wasn't put on the album, it's so refreshing to hear new little treasures every now and then as b-sides. (I think I might even prefer it to TYWTML.)

I'm getting into the Magazine cover aswell.

    [take space out]

The new tracks from ROTT have been uploaded and they are slower versions, with the sound obviously deeper. Not content with that, the alleged On The Streets I Ran is actually The Father Who Must Be Killed.

    Ooops!

  • Can someone who has bought the single list the co-writing credits for the B-sides?

If so, it would be greatly appreciated :)!

  • Perhaps this will change, but as I wrote this the Morrissey download shop doesn't have the option of buying just the b-sides. You seemingly have to buy the whole download of all the songs on both versions of the single in order to get all the b-sides. I don't need 2 more digital copies of "The Youngest..."

The B-sides were available ala cart with the first single. Not a nice change.....

  • Great to have this mans name credited on a Morrissey single.

He was Magazines guitarist and a fine one at that. He was also in the Banshees from 80 to 82. Unfortunately he passed away a few years back. The only guitarist as good as Johnny Marr.

I think this is as close to another Siouxsie-Morrissey collaboration as we're gonna get :(

    Anonymous -- Tuesday June 06 2006, @03:10PM (#223758)
  • massive groove, evil electro throb, smashing racket. 'youngest' is a great song, but ganglord is very UK radio i'd say, and also monstrously clubby.

but i suppose radio1 wouldn't play a record that says 'the police can always be bribed' and 'get back to the ghetto'...

time was (i've heard tell) radio 1 djs actually liked music enough to take matters into their hands and play records not on the playlist, or flip the record and play the b-side instead
